Beltrami County Release Meanings
A release from the Beltrami County Adult Corrections Center means that the legal basis for that phase of county custody ended or changed. The person may have posted bond, received a recognizance or court-ordered release, completed a local sentence, received credit for time served, or had a case dismissed. Some exits are not returns to the community. Beltrami County may transfer a person to another county, the Minnesota Department of Corrections, the U.S. Marshals Service, or immigration custody. Online fields are not the same as the release record. The Beltrami locator searches by last name, first name, gender, and four-digit birth year. A person released from prison can remain in the locator while supervised. After final discharge, a person may fall outside the public locator’s current-jurisdiction scope. A no-result does not erase a historic prison term. Court records and an MN DOC data request are the durable fallback.

Beltrami County Recent Release Limits
Beltrami County does not publish an official recent-releases, 24-hour, or 72-hour feed. Its live ProPhoenix locator is a name-search and current-detail system. It has no released-person filter, one-day window, three-day window, or promised post-release retention period. The old county-hosted static custody page found in some search results carries a fixed January 2024 timestamp. It is neither a current list nor an archive of Beltrami County releases.
Website disappearance remains ambiguous. It can reflect release, transfer, a search mismatch, lag, or a record change. The jail’s internal policy requires daily and accurate reporting to the state Detention Information System, yet that internal duty is not a promise of instant public web updates. No official Beltrami Sheriff mobile app offering recent-release records was verified. Communication, visitation, and account services linked by the jail are not released-person archives.

Beltrami County Court Release Check

Beltrami County Release Timing
Beltrami County does not publish a fixed daily jail release hour or public exit door. The Custody Manual says end-of-term releases are staggered on the out-date. Staff bring the person to the transfer and release area about 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Release pauses during counts, shift changes, unsafe conditions, or an operational disruption. Staff must still verify the authority, identity, good-time adjustments, and other holds before custody ends.
This makes a court authorization different from an immediate walk-out. Family or support persons should confirm status with the jail rather than infer timing from a court entry. The jail number is 218-333-4189. If the record shows a hold from another authority, the event may be a transfer, and the receiving source should be checked before travel plans are made.
Getting Home After Beltrami Release
The Custody Manual allows a reasonable number of prerelease calls to arrange transportation. In dangerous weather, jail staff may offer transport to the nearest safe place or let the released person wait in a public area when immediate departure would threaten health or safety. Those are safety options, not a promise of a ride, a fixed waiting room, or a set pickup time.
Paul Bunyan Transit serves Bemidji and Beltrami County through call-ahead service at 218-751-8765. The research found no guaranteed jail stop or immediate pickup. A ride should be arranged in advance when possible, with a backup plan for delay. Release timing can move while staff complete paperwork or address a hold.
Beltrami Release Property Deadlines
Beltrami release staff return authorized property and seek a signed receipt. A discrepancy should be raised with the shift supervisor and documented. The inmate handbook states that property left more than 30 days after release or transfer may be disposed of. A released person should therefore keep the receipt and contact the jail promptly if an item is missing. Remaining account funds may be applied to lawful liens, and refunds are issued by check under the release-account policy.
The Custody Manual also provides a route for an over-detention complaint. A supervisor and records staff must review the release date at once, and an incorrect date calls for immediate release, with a grievance path available. These local records routes are stronger than relying on whether the web locator still shows a name.

Beltrami County Release Support
The county Adult Corrections Center describes a voluntary Reset Program. A jail-based social worker connects participants with resources and may keep supporting them after release. The coordinator’s published phone is 218-333-8163. The county reported a 53 percent “success rate” in late 2023 but did not define that measure on the page, so the figure should remain a county attribution rather than a claim about later custody or case outcomes.
The Reset Program is not a locator and does not certify release. Its value is practical support. Custody status still comes from the jail record, court, VINE, or the receiving agency.
Future Beltrami Release Location
Beltrami County is replacing the current jail after reporting a Minnesota DOC notice of deficiency and space and standards limits at the existing building. The new Adult Corrections Center at 815 Pioneer St. SE began construction in spring 2025. A county update from the first quarter of 2026 said work remained on schedule, with spring 2027 as the planned opening period.
The new site is not the current operating jail or a present release pickup point. Until Beltrami County announces the opening, the existing Adult Corrections Center at 626 Minnesota Ave. NW and the current phone numbers remain the right route. Release doors, waiting locations, roster links, and records procedures should be checked again during the transition.
Beltrami County Release Facilities
Each facility or custody system has its own proof. The county jail uses the Sheriff’s admission and release record. The future jail is still a project site. Juvenile release information is private and goes through authorized juvenile channels. Minnesota DOC, BOP, U.S. Marshals, and ICE records answer only their own custody questions.
