Beltrami County VINE Coverage
Minnesota VINE is the state’s free county-jail custody search and notification service. It covers a person held at the Beltrami County Adult Corrections Center when the county record is being supplied to VINE. It can report a custody status and can offer notices for events such as release, transfer, escape, or death. Web, telephone, and app access are available, and a person may search anonymously.
Coverage follows the custody system, not the county where a court case began. Minnesota VINE is connected only to Minnesota county jails. Minnesota materials do not promise one stable historic result format or a permanent retention period for released results. Important: “Out of custody” does not always mean free in the community. Confirm whether Beltrami transferred the person to DOC, another jail, a federal authority, or ICE.

Register Beltrami Release Notifications

Beltrami DOC Releases Use Haven
A Beltrami County criminal case can lead to a state sentence, but county VINE does not follow the person through Minnesota prison and supervised release. Minnesota Haven is the DOC notification channel. DOC describes notices that can include advance release information, conditional or final release, supervising-agent assignment, supervision changes, and expiration. The MN DOC Locator supplies the public status check alongside Haven.
Haven registration follows the DOC form and instructions. The form may be emailed to victimassistance.doc@state.mn.us or mailed to the Victim Assistance Program, 1450 Energy Park Drive, Suite 200, St. Paul, MN 55108. The program phone is 800-657-3830. Those details should be rechecked on the official page before mailing. A DOC Locator result may show a person “Under Supervision as of” a date after prison release, while the Expiration Date marks the later end of jurisdiction.

Confirm Beltrami County Release Events

Timing matters. A newly processed event can take time to reach an outside system. Search again, note the query time, and avoid treating a blank result as proof of release. Minnesota VINE does not promise a full historical release archive, so an older Beltrami release may require a records request even when the notification system once carried the event.

This route is more precise than asking for an entire inmate file.
A useful request identifies the person by full name and date of birth or booking number, gives the approximate custody dates, and asks for the public admission date and time, release date and time, releasing authority, release category or destination if public, and booking number. Ask the office to redact medical, financial, victim, security, and other protected facts rather than withhold a separable public record. When a court case is known, include its number. The court’s Register of Actions may show the sentence, bond order, release order, probation event, or later discharge, while the sheriff record establishes when Beltrami’s physical custody ended. Together, those sources explain whether a VINE event represented community release, a transfer, or another custody change.
Beltrami VINELink Limits
VINE does not certify innocence, guilt, sentence completion, or release from every authority. It is not the public search for state prison, BOP, U.S. Marshals, or ICE custody. A county status can lag. A release alert can arrive after an operational update, and a transfer can look like the end of Beltrami custody even though confinement continues elsewhere.
Use exact source language. Keep the event date, facility, and query time. If VINE and the county locator conflict, contact the Sheriff’s Records Office. If the court ordered release but VINE still shows custody, remember that jail staff must verify the order, identity, holds, warrants, and release paperwork before physical departure. If VINE shows out of custody but the destination is unclear, check the receiving agency rather than assuming community release.
These limits do not make the service less useful. They define its job. Minnesota VINE is a timely county-jail status and notification channel. The source jail, court, and receiving corrections agency hold the durable records needed to explain what the event meant.
